Prevacid appartiene ad un gruppo di farmaci chiamati inibitori della pompa protonica. Il farmaco riduce la produzione di acido nello stomaco. E 'usato per trattare e prevenire le ulcere dello stomaco e dell'intestino, esofagite erosiva (danni causati dai succhi gastrici), e altre malattie che coinvolgono succhi gastrici come la sindrome di Zollinger-Ellison.
Indicazioni
Precauzioni
Le persone allergiche a un qualsiasi componente del farmaco e quelle che soffrono di malattie al fegato non devono usare Prevacid. Informare il proprio medico se è incinta o se si sta pianificando una gravidanza durante il trattamento. Non usare Prevacid se si sta allattando un bambino.
Controindicazioni
Prima di iniziare il trattamento con Prevacid informare il medico se si hanno reazioni allergiche ai componenti del farmaco, amoxicillina o claritromicina.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza se si manifesta uno dei seguenti sintomi di un allergia:stitichezza o diarrea. Chiamare il proprio medico per un consiglio medico circa gli effetti collaterali.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Informare il proprio medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso poiché sono pochi i medicinali che possono causare effetti collaterali interagendo con Prevacid.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 15-30 C °(59-86 F). Conservare lontano da umidità e luce. Non conservare in bagno.
