Actigall (Ursodeoxycholic Acid)
Informations générales
Actigall appartient à l'acide biliaire. Il agit en diminuant la quantité de cholestérol produit par le foie et absorbé par les intestins. Actigall est utilisé pour dissoudre certains types de calculs biliaires, afin de prévenir la formation des calculs biliaires chez les patients obèses qui perdent du poids rapidement, et pour traiter un certain type de maladie du foie (cirrhose biliaire primitive). Ce médicament n'est pas utilisé pour traiter les calculs biliaires qui sont calcifiées.
Posologie
Prenez Actigall exactement comme prescrit par votre médecin. Prenez chaque dose avec un verre plein d'eau. Le médicament peut être pris avec les repas. Cela peut prendre plusieurs mois de l’administration de l'ursodiol avant que vos calculs biliaires se dissolvent. Le dosage est basé sur votre état de santé et la réaction au traitement.
Précautions
Avant de prendre Actigall vous devriez aviser votre médecin si vous avez une maladie du foie, une ascite, l’hémorragie variqueuse, une encéphalopathie hépatique. Ce médicament peut provoquer le vertige. Ne conduisez pas de véhicule ou n’effectuez pas d’activité qui exige de la vigilance. Limitez la consommation des boissons alcoolisées. Évitez d'utiliser des antiacides. Les antiacides contiennent de différents médicaments dont certains types peuvent rendre plus difficile pour votre corps d'absorber l'ursodiol.
Contre-indications
Vous ne devriez pas prendre Actigall si vous êtes allergique à l'ursodiol, ou à d'autres acides biliaires, ou si vous avez certains problèmes de vésicule biliaire / voies biliaires (cholécystite aiguë, cholangite, obstruction des voies biliaires, pancréatite de calculs biliaires, fistule gastro-biliaires ). Avisez votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte ou allaitez.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez des maux d'estomac, des nausées, une diarrhée, des étourdissements, la constipation, les douleurs dorsales, une perte de cheveux, la toux, une soif accrue, un saignement léger, des difficultés respiratoires, un gonflement de votre visage, des lèvres, de la langue, de l'urticaire, l’écoulement ou la congestion nasaux, une sensation de fatigue, une faiblesse, des maux de tête, une enflure des chevilles ou des pieds, l'augmentation de la miction. Si vous remarquez d'autres effets non énumérés ci-dessus, consultez votre médecin.
Interactions des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les autres médicaments que vous utilisez, notamment: le cholestyramine, le colestipol, des antiacides contenant de l'aluminium, des oestrogènes, le clofibrate. L'interaction entre deux médicaments ne signifie pas toujours que vous devez cesser de prendre l'un d'eux. Informez votre médecin ou le prescripteur de tous les médicaments sur ordonnance, en vente libre et des herbes médicinales que vous prenez.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament, cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Le symptôme de surdosage est la diarrhée.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante à l'abri de la lumière et de l'humidité. Mettez-le dans un récipient étanche. Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
