Nitroglicerina pertenece a una clase de fármacos conocidos como nitratos. Angina de pecho se produce cuando el músculo del corazón no está recibiendo suficiente sangre. Este fármaco actúa relajando y dilatando los vasos sanguíneos para que la sangre pueda fluir con más facilidad al corazón.
Instrucciones
Tome nitroglicerina según lo prescrito por su médico. Tome este medicamento por vía oral, generalmente 3 o 4 veces al día. La dosis se basa en su condición médica y respuesta al tratamiento. Trague este medicamento entero. No triture o mastique las cápsulas. No deje de tomar este medicamento sin consultar a su médico.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar nitroglicerina debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene anemia, aumento de la presión intracraneal, presión arterial baja (hipotensión), deshidratación, enfermedad hepática, insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva, glaucoma, alergias. Este medicamento puede causar mareos. No conducir o realizar tareas que requieren vigilancia.Limite las bebidas alcohólicas. Éste puede aumentar algunos de los efectos secundarios.
Contraindicaciones
Usted no debe usar nitroglicerina si usted es alérgico a ella, Minitran, Nitro-Bid, Nitro-Dur, Nitrolingual, NitroMist, Nitrostat, o cualquiera de los componentes inactivos de la medicación, está tomando inhibidores de la PDE5, o si tiene anemia severa, aumento de la presión intracraneal.Informe a su médico si está embarazada o amamantando.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si usted tiene dolor de cabeza, mareos, aturdimiento, náusea, y sofocos, fiebre, dolor de garganta, latido cardiaco rápido, lento o irregular, visión borrosa, boca seca, dificultad para respirar, hinchazón de la cara, labios, lengua, urticaria, sudoración, vómitos, palidez, enrojecimiento, dolor abdominal. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, consulte a su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: aspirina, medicamentos para la presión arterial, medicamentos del cornezuelo de centeno (ergotamina, dihidroergotamina, bromocriptina), alteplasa, la fosfodiesterasa de tipo 5 inhibidores (Tadalafil, Sildenafil, Vardenafil), rosiglitazona, los antidepresivos (imipramina, amitriptilina , clomipramina), beta-bloqueantes (nadolol, carvedilol, metoprolol, propranolol), bloqueadores de los canales de calcio (nimodipina, verapamil, nifedipina). La interacción entre los dos medicamentos no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico todos los medicamentos, de venta libre-, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que está tomando.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son dolor de cabeza, confusión, fiebre, latidos cardíacos rápidos o fuertes, mareo, problemas de visión, náuseas, vómitos, diarrea con sangre, dificultad para respirar, piel fría o pegajosa, sensación de mareo, desmayo, y convulsiones.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 68-77 grados F (20-25 grados C) lejos del calor, la luz y la humedad. No guarde los medicamentos en el cuarto de baño. Mantenga todos los medicamentos fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
