O que é este medicamento?
OXYBUTININA é utilizado no tratamento da bexiga hiperactiva. Este medicamento reduz a quantidade de vezes que se vai à casa de banho. Pode também ajudar a controlar pequenas perdas de urina.
O que devo dizer ao meu médico antes de tomar este medicamento?
Ele precisa de saber se tem alguma destas condições:
- demência
- dificuldade em urinar
- glaucoma
- obstrução intestinal
- doença renal
- doença hepática
- reacção alérgica ou invulgar à oxibutinina, outros medicamentos, alimentos, corantes ou conservantes
- se está grávida ou a tentar engravidar
- se está a amamentar
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Tome este medicamento por via oral com um copo de água. Pode tomar este medicamento com ou sem alimentos. Tome o seu medicamento em intervalos regulares. Não o tome mais do que indicado.
Fale com o seu pediatra quanto à utilização deste medicamento em crianças. Cuidados especiais podem ser necessários. Embora este medicamento possa ser prescrito a crianças com menos de 5 anos de idade para determinadas condições, precauções têm de ser aplicadas.
Sobredosagem: Se pensa que poderá ter tomado uma dose superior ao prescrito contacte o Centro de Informação Antivenenos ou os Serviços de Urgência de imediato.
NOTA: Este medicamento é apenas para si. Não o partilhe com outros.
Que fazer se falhei uma toma?
Se falhou uma toma, tome-a o mais cedo possível. Se estiver quase na hora de tomar a próxima dose, tome apenas essa. Não tome doses duplas ou doses extra.
O que pode interferir com este medicamento?
- anti-histamínicos para alergia, tosse e constipação
- atropina
- certos medicamentos para problemas de bexiga como oxibutinina, tolterodina
- certos medicamentos para a doença de Parkinson como benztropine, Triexifenidila
- certos medicamentos para problemas estomacais como diciclomina, hiosciamina
- certos medicamentos para a doenças de viagem como escopolamina
- claritromicina
- eritromicina
- ipratrópio
- medicamentos para infecções fúngicas, como fluconazol, itraconazol, cetoconazol e voriconazol
Esta lista pode não descrever todas as possíveis interacções. Dê ao seu médico uma lista de todos os medicamentos, ervas, medicamentos sem receita médica, ou suplementos dietético que use. Que cuidados devo ter enquanto tomar este medicamento?

Não se levante ou sente rapidamente, especialmente se for um paciente mais velho. Isto reduz o risco de tonturas ou desmaios. O álcool pode interferir com o efeito deste medicamento. Evite bebidas alcoólicas.
A sua boca pode ficar seca. Mascar pastilhas sem açúcar ou chupar rebuçados duros, e beber muita água irá ajudar. Contacte o seu médico se o problema persistir ou for grave.
Este medicamento pode causar secura dos olhos e visão turva. Se usar lentes de contacto, pode sentir algum desconforto. Gotas lubrificantes podem ajudar. Consulte o seu oftalmologista se o problema persistir ou for grave.
Evite calor extremo. Este medicamento pode fazê-lo suar mais do que o normal. A sua temperatura corporal pode aumentar para níveis perigosos que podem levar a insolação.
Que efeitos secundários posso notar com a toma deste medicamento?
Efeitos secundários que deve reportar ao seu médico de imediato:
- reacções alérgicas como erupções cutâneas, comichão ou urticária, inchaço da face, lábios ou língua
- agitação
- problemas respiratórios
- confusão
- febre

- alucinações
- perda de memória

- palpitações

Onde devo guardar o meu medicamento?
Mantenha-o fora do alcance das crianças.
