Urso (Ursodiol)
Informations générales
Urso est un acide biliaire qui diminue la quantité de cholestérol produit par le foie et absorbé par les intestins. Il aide à décomposer le cholestérol qui s'est formé en calculs dans la vésicule biliaire. Urso augmente également le flux biliaire chez les patients atteints de cirrhose biliaire primitive. Il est utilisé pour traiter un groupe d'affections appelées des maladies cholestatiques du foie (cirrhose biliaire primitive).
Posologie
Prenez Urso conformément aux prescriptions de votre médecin. Pour traiter les maladies cholestatiques du foie, la dose recommandée pour les adultes est basée sur le poids corporel. Votre médecin calculera la dose de 13 mg à 15 mg par kilogramme de poids corporel par jour, prise par voie orale en 2 à 4 doses fractionnées avec de la nourriture.
Précautions
Avant de prendre Urso vous devriez aviser votre médecin si vous avez une maladie du foie, des problèmes de vésicule biliaire (cholécystite aiguë, cholangite, obstruction des voies biliaires, pancréatite biliaire, fistule biliaire gastro-intestinale). Ce médicament peut provoquer le vertige. Ne conduisez pas de véhicule ou n’effectuez pas d’activité qui exige de la vigilance. Limitez la consommation des boissons alcoolisées. Évitez d'utiliser des antiacides. Ils peuvent rendre plus difficile pour votre corps d'absorber l'ursodiol.
Contre-indications
Vous ne devriez pas prendre Urso si vous êtes allergique à l'ursodiol ou à l'un des ingrédients du médicament. Avisez votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte ou allaitez.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez de la fièvre, des frissons, des douleurs corporelles, des symptômes de grippe, des maux d'estomac, des nausées, une diarrhée, une constipation, des vertiges, une sensation de fatigue, des douleurs dorsales, l’urticaire, des difficultés respiratoires, un gonflement du visage, des lèvres, de la langue, un écoulement, les symptômes du rhume, des maux de tête, des douleurs dorsales, une perte de cheveux, une augmentation de la soif et de la miction, un saignement léger. Si vous remarquez d'autres effets non énumérés ci-dessus, consultez votre médecin.
Interaction des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les autres médicaments que vous utilisez, notamment: la cholestyramine, les œstrogènes, les antiacides. L'interaction entre deux médicaments ne signifie pas toujours que vous devez cesser de prendre l'un d'eux. Informez votre médecin ou le prescripteur de tous les médicaments sur ordonnance, en vente libre et des herbes médicinales que vous prenez.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament, cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Le symptôme de surdosage est la diarrhée.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 68-77 degrés F (20-25 degrés C) à l;abri de la lumière et de l'humidité. Ne conservez pas les médicaments dans la salle de bain. Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
