Anafranil est un antidépresseur tricyclique. Il affecte les produits chimiques du cerveau qui peuvent devenir déséquilibrés. Le médicament est utilisé pour traiter les symptômes du trouble obsessionnel-compulsif (TOC) comme des pensées ou des sentiments récurrents et des actions répétitives.
Posologie
Prenez ce médicament exactement comme il a été prescrit pour vous. Votre médecin peut parfois changer votre dose pour optimiser les résultats du traitement. Évitez de boire de l'alcool et du jus de pamplemousse et de manger du pamplemousse.
Précautions
N’utilisez pas ce médicament si vous êtes allergique à la clomipramine ou à des médicaments similaires ou si vous avez eu récemment une crise cardiaque. Ne conduisez pas un véhicule puisque ce médicament peut vous rendre somnolent. Il peut avoir un effet nocif à un bébé à naître. Avisez votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte ou prévoyez devenir enceinte pendant le traitement. Les personnes âgées peuvent être plus sensibles aux effets secondaires du médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Le médicament peut provoquer des vertiges, un écoeurement, des nausées et des réactions allergiques. Informez votre médecin de tout effet secondaire qui semble inhabituel.
Interaction des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les médicaments que vous utilisez. N’utilisez pas Anafranil en association avec des inhibiteurs de la MAO (furazolidone, tranylcypromine, le linézolide, etc), un médicament anti-arythmique (quinidine), les inhibiteurs sélectifs du recaptage de la sérotonine (ISRS), les antipsychotiques (fluphénazine) et les antagonistes des récepteurs H2 (cimétidine, nizatidine, ranitidine, etc.). Évitez de boire du jus de pamplemousse et de fumer.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Cherchez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous pensez que vous avez pris trop de médicament. Le surdosage peut provoquer un écoeurement, une anomalie des battements cardiaques, une douleur à la poitrine ou des étourdissements.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température ambiante entre 68-77 degrés F (20-25 degrés C). Conservez-le à l'écart de l'humidité et de la lumière. Gardez-le hors de portée des enfants et loin des animaux domestiques.
