Instrucciones
Tome Lithobid exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Tome el litio con o inmediatamente después de las comidas para reducir el malestar estomacal. Beba de 8 a 12 vasos de agua u otros líquidos cada día, y mantenga una dieta sana con cantidades normales de sal (sodio).Los cambios grandes en la cantidad de sal en su dieta puede cambiar los niveles de litio en sangre. Su médico puede en ocasiones cambiar su dosis para asegurarse de obtener los mejores resultados de esta medicina.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Lithobid usted debe hablar con su médico si usted es alérgico a ella, si usted tiene enfermedad cardíaca, enfermedad renal, problemas urinarios, tiroides (hipotiroidismo), convulsiones, enfermedad de Parkinson, la leucemia, deshidratación severa (pérdida importante de líquidos corporales) , cualquier infección con fiebre alta, un trastorno de la piel determinado (psoriasis). Contraindicaciones

Los posibles efectos secundarios

Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: no esteroides anti-inflamatorios no esteroideos (naproxeno, ibuprofeno, diclofenaco), medicamentos para tratar trastornos psiquiátricos (haloperidol, la clorpromazina, quetiapina), diuréticos (clortalidona, furosemida, indapamida), calcio bloqueadores de los canales (diltiazem, verapamilo), inhibidores de la ECA (lisinopril, ramipril, perindopril), metronidazol, la fluoxetina, carbamazepina, aminofilina, acetazolamida. La interacción entre los dos medicamentos no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico sobre todos los medicamentos, de venta libre-, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que está tomando.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis

Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-86 grados F (15-30 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad. No guarde los medicamentos en el cuarto de baño. Mantenga todos los medicamentos fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
