O que devo dizer ao meu médico antes de tomar este medicamento?
Ele precisa saber se tem alguma das seguintes condições:
- doenças arteriais
- demência
- consumo frequente de bebidas alcoólicas
- doença hepática
- Doença de Parkinson
- Síndroma de Reye
- descontrolo sobre a coordenação motora
- reacção invulgar ou alérgica à clorpromazina, fármacos Sulfa, outros medicamentos, alimentos, corantes ou conservantes
- se está grávida ou a tentar engravidar
- se está a amamentar
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Tome este medicamento por via oral com um copo de água. Tome a sua dose a intervalos regulares. Não tome o medicamento mais frequentemente do que prescrito. Não pare de tomar este medicamento subitamente, pode causar náuseas, vómitos e tonturas. Consulte o seu médico ou profissional de saúde para aconselhamento se quiser parar de tomar este medicamento.
Fale com o seu pediatra quanto à utilização deste medicamento em crianças. Cuidados especiais podem ser necessários. Embora este medicamento possa ser prescrito a crianças com 6 meses em casos específicos, precauções serão necessárias.
Sobredosagem: Se pensa que poderá ter tomado uma dose superior ao prescrito contacte o Centro de Informação Antivenenos ou os Serviços de Urgência de imediato.

Que fazer se falhei uma toma?
Se falhar tomar uma dose, tome-a assim que se puder. Se estiver próximo da hora da toma seguinte, tome apenas essa dose. Não tome dose em duplicado ou doses extra.
O que pode interferir com este medicamento?
Não tome este medicamento com nenhum dos seguintes:
- amoxapina
- trióxido arsénico
- alguns antibióticos como gatifloxacino, grepafloxacina, esparfloxacina
- cloroquina
- cisaprida
- clozapina
- droperidol
- efedrina
- levometadil
- maprotilina
- medicamentos para a depressão mental
- medicamentos para controlar ritmos cardíacos irregulares
- fenilpropanolamina
- pimozida
- pindolol
- propranolol
- ranolazina
- risperidone
- trimetobenzamida
- ziprasidona
Este medicamento pode também interagir com os seguintes:
- barbitúricos para indução do sono ou tratar apreensões, como fenobarbital
- diuréticos
- anestesias gerais e locais
- fenitoína
- medicamentos para as dores
- varfarina

Não se levante ou sente rapidamente, para reduzir o risco de tonturas ou desmaios, especialmente se for um doente mais velho. O álcool pode aumentar possíveis tonturas ou sonolência. Evite bebidas alcoólicas.
Este medicamento pode reduzir a resposta do seu organismo ao calor ou frio. Tente não ficar demasiado quente. Evite temperaturas extremas, tais como saunas, ou banhos ou duches frios ou muito quentes. Agasalhe-se quente em tempo frio.
Este medicamento pode torná-lo mais sensível ao sol. Mantenha-se afastado do sol. Se não pode evitar a exposição ao sol, use roupas protectoras e protector solar. Não use lâmpadas bronzeadoras (solários).
A sua boca pode ficar seca. Mastigar pastilhas sem açúcar ou chupar rebuçados e beber muita água pode ajudar. Contacte o seu médico se o problema persistir ou se agravar.
Que efeitos secundários poderei notar com a toma deste medicamento?
Efeitos secundários que deve comunicar ao seu médico ou profissional de saúde o mais rapidamente possível:

Onde devo guardar o meu medicamento?
Mantenha-o fora do alcance das crianças.
Conservar à temperatura ambiente entre 15 e 30 graus C (59 e 86 graus F). Deite fora medicamentos não utilizados após expirar o prazo de validade.
