Informations générales
Le baclofène est un médicament prescrit pour le traitement des conditions suivantes: crampes musculaires, rigidité, spasmes des muscles squelettiques, clonus musculaire, lésions de la moelle épinière. Son mécanisme consiste en relâchement des muscles squelettiques.
Posologie
Il est recommandé de prendre le médicament conformément aux prescriptions de votre médecin. Prenez-le avec un plein verre d'eau. La dose initiale recommandée est de 5 mg 3 fois par jour. Ne dépassez pas la dose recommandée.
Précautions
Avant de commencer votre traitement prévenez votre médecin si vous avez les conditions suivantes: maladie des reins, diabète, saisies, accidents vasculaires cérébraux, allergie au baclofène, aux autres médicaments, aux aliments, aux colorants ou aux conservateurs, ou si vous êtes enceinte ou allaitez.
Contre-indications
Les patients ayant une maladie rénale, une épilepsie ou d'autres troubles de saisie, des accidents vasculaires cérébraux ou des caillots sanguins, une allergie au baclofène ne doivent pas prendre le médicament.
Les effets secondaires possibles
Les effets secondaires peuvent être les suivants: réactions allergiques: éruption cutanée, urticaire ou démangeaisons, gonflement du visage, des lèvres ou de la langue, douleur thoracique, constipation, hypotension artérielle, hallucinations, vomissements, dépression respiratoire, incapacité de dormir, et une augmentation de la fréquence des mictions ou rétention urinaire, saisie. Si vous ressentez l'un des effets secondaires énumérés ci-dessus consultez votre médecin.
Interactions des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les médicaments que vous prenez. Baclofène interagit avec les médicaments suivants: antihistaminiques, médicaments contre la dépression, l'anxiété, et d'autres troubles mentaux, codéine, oxycodone, tramadol et propoxyphène, médicaments pour dormir, phénobarbital.
Omission de dose
Si vous avez omis une dose, prenez-la dès que possible. S'il est presque temps pour votre prochaine dose, ne prenez que celle-ci. Ne prenez pas de double ou de doses supplémentaires.
Overdose
Si vous soupçonnez une surdose par le médicament veuillez obtenir immédiatement des soins médicaux d'urgence.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température ambiante entre 15 et 30 degrés C (59 et 86 degrés F). Gardez le pilulier bien fermé et hors de portée des enfants.
