O que devo dizer ao meu médico antes de tomar este medicamento?
Ele precisa de saber tem alguma destas condições:
- asma
- fumador
- cirurgia de revascularização do miocárdio (CRM) nas últimas 2 semanas
- bebe mais de 3 bebidas com álcool por dia
- doença cardíaca ou problemas de circulação, tais como insuficiência cardíaca ou edema da perna (retenção de líquidos)
- problemas de hemofilia ou hemorragia
- hipertensão
- doença renal
- doença hepática
- hemorragias ou úlceras estomacais
- reacção alérgica ao meloxicam, a aspirina, outros anti-inflamatórios não-esteróides, outros medicamentos, alimentos, corantes ou conservantes
- está grávida ou a tentar engravidar
- está a amamentar
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Tome este medicamento por via oral com um copo cheio de água. Não corte, esmague ou mastigue este medicamento. Tome este medicamento em posição vertical ou sentada. Se possível tomar as doses pelo menos 10 minutos antes de se deitar. Se este medicamento perturbar o seu estômago, tome-o com alimentos ou leite. Tome o medicamento em intervalos regulares. Não o tome mais do que indicado.
Fale com o seu pediatra quanto à utilização deste medicamento em crianças. Cuidados especiais podem ser necessários.
Os idosos com mais de 65 anos podem ter reacções fortes a este medicamento e necessitam doses de menores.
Sobredosagem: Se pensa que poderá ter tomado uma dose superior contacte um centro de controlo de envenenamento ou os serviços de urgência de imediato.
NOTA: Este medicamento é apenas para si. Não o partilhe com outros.
Que fazer se falhei uma toma?
Se esquecer uma dose, tome-a o mais cedo possível. Se estiver quase na hora de tomar a próxima dose, tome apenas essa. Não tome doses duplas ou extras.
O que pode interferir com este medicamento?
- álcool
- aspirina
- cidofovir
- diuréticos
- lítio
- medicamentos para a hipertensão
- metotrexato
- outros medicamentos para a inflamação como cetorolaco, ibuprofeno e prednisona
- pemetrexedo
- varfarina

Efeitos secundários que normalmente não requerem atenção médica (diga ao seu médico ou profissional de saúde se persistem, ou se são incómodos):
- constipação ou diarreia
- tonturas
- gases ou azia
- dor de estômago

Onde devo guardar o meu medicamento?
Mantenha-o fora do alcance das crianças.
