Brand Temovate (Clobetasol)
General information
Clobetasol is a topical for the skin steroid. It reduces the actions of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation, redness, and swelling. It topical is used to treat the inflammation and itching caused by a number of skin conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema, and psoriasis.
Directions
Use this medication exactly as it has been prescribed by your doctor. Do not use Clobetasol topical on broken or infected skin. Apply it on a clean dry face.
Precautions
Avoid getting this medication in your eyes. If contact does occur, rinse with water. Inform your doctor if you have eczema, diabetes, glaucoma or pregnant.
Contraindications
Avoid using the drug if you have an allergic reaction to it.
Possible side effect
The medicine may cause ruddiness, skin rash and some allergic reaction. Tell your doctor about any unusual or bothersome side effect.
Drug interaction
Avoid using Temovate with other corticosteroids and drugs that lower the immune system. Inform your doctor about all medications you use.
Missed dose
Take the missed dose as soon as possible. Skip the missed dose if it is time for your next scheduled dose. Don't take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
Overdose
Call emergency medical attention if you think you have used too much of this medicine. Overdose symptoms may include thorax pain, abnormal heartbeat or giddiness.
Storage
Store your medicines at room temperature between between 68-77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C). Store away from moisture and light. Keep it out of the reach of children and away from pets.
