Informazioni generali
La Inderal appartiene alla classe di farmaci chiamati beta-bloccanti. Il farmaco viene usato per trattare la pressione arteriosa alta. Viene anche usato per prevenire l'angina (dolore al petto), per ridurre il rischio di problemi cardiaci specialmente dopo un attacco cardiaco (infarto miocardico), per gestire alcune malattie cardiache, e per trattare alcuni tipi di anomalie del ritmo cardiaco. Il propranololo agisce rilassando i vasi sanguigni e riducendo le richieste al cuore.
Indicazioni
Assumere Inderal La esattamente come prescritto dal medico. La dose iniziale raccomandata per le persone con pressione alta (ipertensione) è di 80 mg una volta al giorno. Dopo un paio di settimane il dosaggio può essere aumentato o diminuito. La dose abituale per la maggior parte delle persone è dai 120 mg ai 160 mg una volta al giorno. Per migliorare i sintomi dell'angina, la dose raccomandata è da 80 mg a 320 mg al giorno. Per la prevenzione dell'emicrania, la dose iniziale è di 80 mg una volta al giorno. La dose abituale per il trattamento della stenosi ipertrofica subaortica è compresa tra gli 80 mg ed i 160 mg da assumere una volta al giorno. Il farmaco va assunto per via orale indifferentemente a stomaco pieno o vuoto.
Precauzioni
Prima di iniziare il trattamento con Differini informare il proprio medico se si hanno:malattia cardiaca, insufficienza cardiaca congestizia, ritmo cardiaco irregolare, frequenza cardiaca di Wolff-Parkinson-White, asma, broncopneumopatia cronica ostruttiva, malattie epatiche o renali, cirrosi, epatite , diabete, depressione, feocromocitoma, psoriasi, glaucoma, ipertiroidismo, problemi circolatori, malattie dei vasi sanguigni, eventuali allergie. Lasciate che sia il vostro medico ad occuparsi di voi se siete incinta o state allattano, e se bevete alcolici o fumate.
Controindicazioni
Non prendere Inderal La se si è allergici al propranololo o ad uno qualsiasi degli eccipienti del farmaco, se si ha frequenza cardiaca gravemente lenta, rinite allergica durante la stagione pollinica, asma ,gravi malattie respiratorie croniche ostruttive, blocco cardiaco grave.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza se si hanno:battito del cuore rallentato (bradicardia), diminuzione della pressione arteriosa, insonnia, sogni vividi, perdita di memoria a breve termine , nausea, vomito, diarrea, costipazione, perdita di capelli, secchezza degli occhi, impotenza, malattia di Peyronie, dolori articolari, dolore toracico, depressione, allucinazioni, orticaria, sonnolenza, debolezza, eruzioni cutanee. Se si notano altri effetti non elencati sopra, contattare il medico.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Si informi il medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso, in particolare riguardo a:alfa-bloccanti (fentolamina, fenoxibenzamina, carvedilolo, tamsulosina), calcio-antagonisti (felodipina, nimodipina, verapamil, nifedipina), farmaci per l'aritmia (chinidina, amiodarone, propafenone, lidocaina), monoamine inibitori dell'ossidasi (tranilcipromina, rasagilina, isocarbossazide, selegilina), digossina, clonidina, farmaci anti-infiammatori non steroidei (celecoxib, ibuprofene, diclofenac, meloxicam), beta-bloccanti (timololo, metoprololo, bisoprololo, sotalolo), farmaci della tiroide (tiroide, liotrix) , antidepressivi triciclici (trimipramina, clomipramina, amitriptilina, nortriptilina), anticoagulanti (warfarin). Si noti inoltre che l'interazione fra due farmaci non necessariamente deve portare ad una sospensione dell'utilizzo di uno dei due farmaci. Si informi il medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso compresi i farmaci da prescrizione,quelli da banco e i prodotti erboristici.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio sono:insufficienza cardiaca congestizia, aritmie cardiache, basso livello di zuccheri nel sangue (ipoglicemia), grave riduzione della frequenza cardiaca (bradicardia), ipotensione, dispnea, diminuzione della respirazione, spossatezza.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 59-77 gradi F (15-25 ° C) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità. Conservare lontano dalla portata di bambini ed animali domestici.
