Zyban est un médicament antidépresseur conçu pour combattre la dépendance au tabagisme. Son mécanisme agit en stimulant les transporteurs chimiques dans le cerveau, provoquant un effet de retrait et d’inhibition du désir.
Posologie
La dose recommandée est de 300 mg par jour pris en 2 parties. Vous pouvez utiliser certaines gommes de nicotine ou des patches pour améliorer votre traitement.
Précautions
Avant de commencer votre traitement au Zyban, veuillez informer votre médecin si vous avez des allergies, si vous êtes en état de grossesse ou allaitez au sein. Il n'est pas recommandé d'utiliser ce médicament avec des médicaments contenant du bupropion.
Contre-indications
Il n'est pas recommandé d'utiliser le Zyban avec des inhibiteurs de la MAO, des anticonvulsivants, de la lévodopa, de la théophylline, des corticostéroïdes, des sédatifs, des antiviraux, des médicaments psychiatriques, d'autres antidépresseurs, des benzodiazépines, des salicylates, de l'isoniazide, des inhibiteurs de cholinestérase, de la morphine et des médicaments contenant de l'adrénaline, des opiacés, de la cocaïne ou des stimulants, des médicaments de traitement du diabète, etc.
Effets secondaires possibles
Des insomnies et la siccité de la bouche sont les effets secondaires fréquents. Informez votre médecin si vous ressentez un des effets secondaires énumérés ci-dessus ou des effets secondaires plus graves tels que des changements d'humeur ou de comportement, de l'anxiété, des crises de panique, des troubles du sommeil, ou si vous vous sentez impulsif, irritable, agité, hostile, agressif, agité, plus déprimé, ou si vous avez des pensées suicidaires ou un instant de vous faire des blessures.
Interaction des médicaments
Zyban pourrait avoir une interaction avec les médicaments suivants: les antipsychotiques, les inhibiteurs de la MAO, les antiarythmiques, les antagonistes des récepteurs à l'histamine de type 2 et les Inhibiteurs de la Recapture de la Sérotonine-Noradrénaline (IRSN).
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose omise dès que possible. S'il est presque l’heure de la prochaine prise, il suffit de sauter la dose omise et de revenir à votre horaire de prise habituel.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez avoir pris une surdose de ce médicament, demandez une aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdosage surviennent sous forme de saisies, de perte de conscience, de faiblesse, d’hallucinations, de pouls rapide, et de crise cardiaque.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 20-25 °C (68-77 °F).
