Arimidex (Anastrozole)
Informations générales
Arimidex est un médicament d'ordonnance utilisé pour traiter le cancer du sein chez les femmes post-ménopausées. Il abaisse le taux d'œstrogènes chez les femmes ménopausées, ce qui peut ralentir la croissance de certains types de tumeurs du sein qui ont besoin de la croissance d'œstrogènes dans le corps.
Posologie
Prenez Arimidex conformément aux prescriptions de votre médecin. Il est habituellement pris une fois par jour avec ou sans nourriture à la même heure. La dose recommandée d'Arimidex chez les femmes ménopausées est de 1 mg par jour. N'arrêtez pas de prendre le médicament sans en parler avec votre médecin.
Précautions
Avant d'utiliser Arimidex, avertissez votre médecin si vous avez une maladie cardiaque, des problèmes de circulation, un antécédent d'AVC ou d'un caillot de sang, une maladie grave du foie, taux élevé de cholestérol, l'ostéoporose. Il peut diminuer la densité minérale osseuse, ce qui peut augmenter le risque du développement de l'ostéoporose. Vous devriez tester votre densité minérale osseuse avant et pendant le traitement avec ce médicament.
Contre-indications
N’utilisez pas Arimidex si vous êtes enceinte ou allaitez, si vous êtes allergique à l'anastrozole, ou si votre ménopause n'est pas encore terminée. Les hommes ou les enfants ne doivent pas utiliser ce médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez un de ces signes d'une réaction allergique à l'Arimidex: l’urticaire, des difficultés respiratoires, ou si vous avez une faiblesse, un gonflement des glandes, des maux de tête, des problèmes de vision ou des troubles de la parole. Les effets secondaires les plus fréquents sont: des douleurs dorsales, l'ostéoporose, la diarrhée, une perte d'appétit, des étourdissements.
Interaction des médicaments
Arimidex peut interagir avec d'autres médicaments, y compris les estrogènes, les contraceptifs oraux. Avant de commencer à prendre Arimidex, avisez votre médecin si vous prenez aussi le tamoxifène.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament, cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdose sont des maux à l'estomac, du sang dans les selles, des nausées et des vomissements.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 68-77 degrés F (20-25 degrés C) à l'ecart de la lumière et de l'humidité. Ne gardez pas les médicaments dans la salle de bain. Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
