Precauciones
Antes de tomar Evista debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene coágulos de sangre, insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva, ritmo cardíaco irregular (arritmia), cáncer, presión arterial alta (hipertensión), enfermedades del hígado, insuficiencia hepática, cirrosis, hepatitis, enfermedades renales, insuficiencia renal , triglicéridos altos, algún tipo de alergia. Informe a su médico si usted fuma cigarrillos, si no ha pasado por la menopausia, o va a tener una cirugía.
Contraindicaciones
Usted no debe tomar Evista si usted es alérgico al raloxifeno o a cualquiera de los ingredientes del medicamento, está embarazada o amamantando, o si tiene trombosis (coágulos de sangre). No debe utilizarse en niños.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si se presenta entumecimiento, aumento de la sudoración, sofocos, debilidad, vómitos, dolor en las piernas, dolor de cabeza, dolor en las articulaciones, mareos, náuseas, dolor de estómago, moqueo o congestión nasal, dolor de garganta, dolor, confusión, problemas de visión, hablar, o equilibrio, ritmo cardíaco rápido, sangrado vaginal, dolor del cuerpo, urticaria, dolor de pecho, dificultad para respirar, hinchazón de la cara, labios, lengua. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, consulte a su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: diazepam, medicamentos estrógenos, anticonceptivos orales, medicamentos para la tiroides (liotrix, tiroides, levotiroxina), anticoagulantes (warfarina). Dosis olvidada

Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina, debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son calambres en las piernas, mareos, problemas de coordinación, vómitos, erupción cutánea, diarrea, temblores, rubor.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-77 grados F (15-25 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad. No guarde los medicamentos en el cuarto de baño. Mantenga todos los medicamentos fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
