Informations générales
Premarin est prescrit pour le traitement des symptômes de la ménopause tels que les bouffées de chaleur, la siccité vaginale, l’irritation vaginale, pour prévenir l'ostéoporose chez les femmes en age de ménopause. Il agit sur la régulation du développement et des fonctions du système de reproduction chez les femmes, la formation des caractères sexuels secondaires féminins et la diminution de résorption osseuse de Ca2 + à l’age de ménopause, prévient l'involution des organes génitaux.
Posologie
Il est recommandé de prendre le médicament suivant la prescription de votre médecin. Prenez-le avec un verre d'eau avec ou sans nourriture. Ne pas excéder la dose recommandée.
Précautions
Les femmes enceintes et les personnes âgées de moins de 18 ans ne doivent pas utiliser Premarin. Soyez prudent en utilisant ce médicament pour un traitement à long terme. Il peut augmenter le risque de cancer du sein, d’hyperplasie de l'endomètre, de crise cardiaque ou d’un Accident vasculaire cérébral (AVC).
Contre-indications
Les femmes enceintes et celles en période d’allaitement au sein, les patients présentant une hypersensibilité au médicament, des saignements génitaux ou de l'utérus, une thrombophlébite ou des troubles thromboemboliques doivent éviter d’utiliser Premarin. Les patients souffrant de thrombophlébite, de thrombose ou de thromboembolie; d’hyperlipoprotéinémie héréditaire, de pancréatite, d'endométriose, de maladie de la vésicule biliaire, d’une insuffisance hépatique grave, d'ictère, de porphyrie hépatique, de léiomyome, d’hypercalcémie associée à des métastases des os causées par le cancer du sein, de thyroïde, de porphyrie, d'endométriose, d'asthme doit prendre certaines précautions lors de l’utilisation du médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Les effets secondaires peuvent être les suivants: de l’urticaire, des éruptions cutanées, un gonflement du visage et de la langue, des douleurs de poitrine ou un sentiment de lourdeur, un engourdissement soudain ou une faiblesse soudaine, des saignements vaginaux anormaux, de la migraine, de l’obnubilation, la jaunisse, gonflement des mains, des chevilles ou des pieds. Si vous ressentez l’un des effets secondaires énumérés ci-dessus, avisez votre médecin.
Interaction des médicaments
Premarin peut avoir une interaction avec les anticoagulants (warfarine), les barbituriques, la rifampicine, la phénytoïne, la carbamazépine, la griséofulvine, le millepertuis ou herbe de Saint-Jean, l'érythromycine, le ketonazole, le ritonavir et la primidone.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose omise dès que possible. S'il est presque l’heure de la prochaine prise, il suffit de sauter la dose omise et de revenir à votre horaire habituel.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez avoir pris une surdose du médicament. Demandez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdosage sont des vomissements, des nausées et des saignements vaginaux.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante, entre 15-30 °C (59-86 °F).
