Premarin è prescritto per il trattamento dei sintomi della menopausa, come vampate di calore, secchezza vaginale irritazione vaginale e per prevenire l'osteoporosi nelle donne in postmenopausa. Premarin funziona regolando lo sviluppo del sistema riproduttivo femminile e le sue funzioni, regolando la formazione dei caratteri sessuali secondari femminili e riducendo il riassorbimento osseo in Ca2 + in menopausa ed impedisce involuzione dei genitali.
Indicazioni
Si consiglia di prendere il farmaco nelle modalità con cui è stato prescritto dal medico.Assumere il farmaco con un bicchiere d'acqua a stomaco pieno o vuoto. Non superare la dose consigliata.
Precauzioni
Le donne incinte e i minori di 18 anni non possono utilizzare Premarin. Fare attenzione quando si usa il farmaco per un trattamento a lungo termine. Può aumentare il rischio di cancro al seno, iperplasia endometriale, attacco di cuore o ictus.
Controindicazioni
Le donne in gravidanza e in allattamento, i pazienti con ipersensibilità al farmaco, emorragie genitali o uterine, tromboflebiti o malattia tromboembolica non possono utilizzare Premarine. I pazienti con tromboflebite, trombosi o tromboembolie, iperlipoproteinemia familiare, pancreatite, endometriosi, malattie della colecisti, insufficienza epatica, ittero, porfiria epatica, leiomioma, ipercalcemia associata a metastasi ossee causate da cancro al seno, tiroide, porfiria, endometriosi, asma devono fare attenzione ad utilizzare la medicina.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali che si manifestano più frequentemente sono i seguenti: orticaria, eruzioni cutanee, gonfiore del viso e della lingua, dolore toracico o sensazione di pesantezza, improvviso torpore e debolezza, anomalo sanguinamento vaginale, mal di testa, emicrania, confusione, itterizia, gonfiore delle mani, delle caviglie o dei piedi. Se si verifica uno qualsiasi degli effetti indesiderati sopra elencati contattare il medico.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Premarin può interagire con anticoagulanti (warfarin), barbiturici, rifampicina, fenitoina, carbamazepina, griseofulvina, erba di San Giovanni, eritromicina, ketonazole, ritonavir e primidone.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose non appena possibile. Se è quasi ora della dose successiva basta saltarla e tornare al vostro consueto programma di dosaggio.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio sono:vomito, nausea e sanguinamento vaginale.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente, tra i 15-30 C (59-86 F).
