Elocon (Mometasone)
Informations générales
Elocon est un glucocorticoïde synthétique. La crème est prescrite pour le traitement des démangeaisons, des inflammations des eczéma, de la dermatite, des allergies, des inflammations et des démangeaisons traitées aux Glucocorticostéroïdes (GCS), des cas liés à une hyperkératose (dermatite atopique et séborrhéique, psoriasis, eczéma chronique). Elocon est censé induire la production de protéines qui inhibent les lipocortines. Ces protéines contrôlent la biosynthèse de puissants agents de l'inflammation en inhibant la libération de leur prédécesseur commun: l'acide arachidonique.
Posologie
Il est recommandé d'appliquer le médicament en une épaisse couche sur la peau affectée une seule fois par jour.
Précautions
Un usage à long terme peut provoquer une irritation. Si elle se produit, arrêtez l'utilisation de la crème et contactez votre médecin. Gardez Elocon hors de contact direct avec les yeux.
Contre-indications
Les patients présentant une hypersensibilité à l’Elocon ne doivent pas l'utiliser.
Effets secondaires possibles
Les effets secondaires peuvent être les suivants: brûlures, démangeaisons, atrophie cutanée, acné rosacée. Avec les glucocorticostéroïdes (GCS), les effets sont l'irritation et la siccité, la folliculite, l’hypertrichose, l’acné sous forme d’éruption cutanée, l’hypopigmentation, la dermatite péribuccale, la dermatite de contact allergique (DCA), des infections secondaires, des vergetures et effets miliaires (éruptions et sueur).
Interaction des médicaments
Elocon ne doit pas être utilisé avec les alcalis et les anthralines topiques.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose omise dès que possible. S'il est presque l’heure de la prochaine prise, il suffit de sauter la dose omise et de revenir à votre horaire de prise habituel.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez avoir pris une surdose du médicament, demandez une aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdosage sont l'acné, la dépression, la pilosité excessive, l'hypertension artérielle, haut du dos enflé, l'insomnie, visage à l'apparence de lune, une faiblesse musculaire, une obésité du tronc du corps, la paranoïa, des vergetures, une sensibilité aux contusions et fractures.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à 2-25 °C (36-77 °F). Agiter le liquide avant chaque prise.
