Ce médicament agit en empêchant la croissance des champignons. Il ne traite pas les infections dues aux bactéries ou aux levures.
Posologie
Prenez Fulvicin conformément aux prescriptions de votre médecin. Prenez chaque dose avec un verre plein d'eau. Votre médecin peut vous recommander de prendre Fulvicin avec un repas gras pour augmenter son absorption dans votre corps. Le dosage est basé sur votre état de santé. Chez les enfants, la posologie est également basée sur le poids. La durée du traitement dépend du type d'infection dont vous souffrez.
Précautions
Avant de prendre Fulvicin vous devriez aviser votre médecin si vous avez le lupus. Évitez l'exposition prolongée au soleil. Évitez la consommation des boissons alcoolisées. La combinaison de l'alcool et de la griséofulvine peut provoquer un rougissement et une accélération du rythme cardiaque. Ce médicament peut provoquer le vertige. Ne conduisez pas de véhicule ou n’effectuez pas d’activité qui exige de la vigilance. Fulvicin peut affecter le sperme et la production de sperme.
Contre-indications
Vous ne devez pas utiliser Fulvicin si vous y êtes allergique ou si vous avez une maladie du foie, une porphyrie. Avisez votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte ou allaitez.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez des nausées, des vomissements, une confusion, une diarrhée, l’insomnie, des maux de tête, des vertiges, une fatigue, des picotements dans les mains ou les pieds, de l'urticaire, des difficultés respiratoires, un gonflement des lèvres, de la langue ou du visage, les périodes menstruelles irrégulières, des changements mentaux ou d'humeur, des douleurs articulaires ou musculaires, des douleurs abdominales, des urines foncées, le prurit. Si vous remarquez d'autres effets non énumérés ci-dessus, consultez votre médecin.
Interaction des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les autres médicaments que vous utilisez, notamment: des anticoagulants (warfarine), des pilules contraceptives, des salicylés (aspirine, salicylate de magnésium, salicylate de choline), la cyclosporine, les barbituriques (pentobarbital, phénobarbital, butabarbital). L'interaction entre deux médicaments ne signifie pas toujours que vous devez cesser de prendre l'un d'eux. Informez votre médecin de tous les médicaments sur ordonnance, en vente libre et des herbes médicinales que vous prenez.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament, cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdosage sont les nausées, des vomissements, une diarrhée, des maux de tête, un engourdissement, le picotement, la confusion.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 68-77 degrés F (20-25 degrés C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité. Ne conservez pas les médicaments dans la salle de bain. Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
