Este medicamento se usa para prevenir el rechazo de órganos en personas que han recibido un hígado, riñón o trasplante de corazón. Por lo general se toma junto con otros medicamentos para que su nuevo órgano pueda funcionar normalmente. Neoral también se utiliza para tratar la artritis reumatoide y enfermedad de la piel determinado (psoriasis). Este medicamento también puede ser utilizado para prevenir el rechazo en otros tipos de trasplantes de órganos (por ejemplo, la córnea, páncreas) o trasplante de médula ósea. También puede ser utilizado para tratar otras condiciones que pueden afectar al sistema imuno (por ejemplo, enfermedad de Crohn).
Instrucciones
Tome Neoral exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Para los trasplantes de órganos sólidos, la dosis recomendada es de 10 mg a 15 mg por kilogramo de peso corporal al día (en 2 tomas) a partir de al menos 12 horas antes de la cirugía. Para los trasplantes de médula ósea, el medicamento se administra en una dosis diaria de alrededor de 12,5 mg por kilogramo de peso corporal en 2 tomas. Para el tratamiento de la psoriasis, la dosis inicial recomendada es de 2 mg por kilogramo de peso corporal al día dividida en 2 dosis divididas. Para el tratamiento de la artritis reumatoide, la dosis recomendada es de 2 mg por kilogramo de peso corporal por día en 2 tomas durante las primeras 6 semanas de tratamiento. Para el síndrome nefrótico, la dosis inicial recomendada es de 3,5 mg por kilogramo de peso corporal al día para adultos y 4,2 mg por kilogramo de peso corporal al día para los niños. Las personas con función renal disminuida no deben recibir más de 2,5 mg por kg de peso corporal por día. Usted puede tomar este medicamento con o sin comida. Evite comer toronja o beber jugo de toronja mientras recibe tratamiento con este medicamento.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Neoral debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene enfermedad del hígado, hepatitis, cirrosis, insuficiencia hepática, colesterol, enfermedades renales, insuficiencia renal, presión arterial alta (hipertensión), cáncer de piel, diabetes, linfoma, infección de cualquier tipo, bajos niveles de magnesio en la sangre, alergias. Este medicamento puede causar mareos. No conducir o realizar tareas que requieren vigilancia. Evite las inmunizaciones o vacunas. Evite el contacto con personas que tienen la enfermedad contagiosa, gripe u otras. Las personas de edad mediana pueden correr un mayor riesgo de los efectos sobre la presión arterial y los riñones mientras usa este medicamento. Este medicamento puede aumentar la cantidad de ácido úrico en la sangre, lo que puede causar cálculos renales o gota.
Contraindicaciones
Usted no debe tomar Neoral si usted es alérgico a la ciclosporina o a cualquiera de los ingredientes del medicamento, si esta tomando Sandimmun Neoral para la artritis reumatoide o la psoriasis y la enfermedad renal, presión arterial alta no tratada, o cáncer, tienen psoriasis. Deje que su médico sepa si está embarazada o amamantando.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son aumento del ritmo cardíaco (taquicardia), aumento de la presión arterial (hipertensión), ritmo cardíaco anormal (arritmia), náuseas, vómitos, somnolencia, dolores de cabeza, problemas renales, enrojecimiento de la cara, alteración del gusto, contracción muscular, confusión, convulsiones, temblores.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-77 grados F (15-25 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad. No guarde los medicamentos en el cuarto de baño. Mantenga todos los medicamentos fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
