Retin-a (Tretinoin)
Notes générales
La trétinoïne est l'ingrédient actif dans Retin-A. Il est la forme acide de la vitamine A. Le médicament peut être prescrit pour le traitement de l'acné vulgaire et de la kératose pilaire.
Posologie
Il est recommandé d'appliquer le médicament sur le visage propre et sec en évitant la peau irritée. Notez s'il vous plaît, cela peut prendre de 6 à 9 semaines pour voir l'effet.
Précautions
Soyez prudent en appliquant la crème; évitez les zones autour des yeux et des lèvres. Les personnes d’âge moyen peuvent être plus sensibles à Retin-A. Avant de commencer le traitement avisez votre médecin si vous souffrez d'eczéma ou de sensibilité excessive au soleil. Informez votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte ou si vous allaitez.
Contre-indications
Les patients ayant une hypersensibilité à Retin-A ne peuvent pas utiliser le médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Les effets secondaires peuvent être les suivants: rougeur, desquamation, démangeaisons et brûlure. Les effets secondaires graves sont peu probables. Si vous remarquez des effets indésirables non mentionnés ci-dessus veuillez contacter votre médecin immédiatement.
Intéraction des médicaments
Retin-A peut interagir avec les médicaments suivants: peroxyde de benzoyle, acide salicylique, tétracycline, sulfamides.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. S'il est presque temps de la prochaine prise il suffit de la sauter et de revenir à votre horaire habituel.
Surdosage
Si vous soupçonnez une surdose veuillez obtenir immédiatement des soins médicaux d'urgence. Les symptômes de surdosage sont des douleurs thoraciques, des nausées, des battements cardiaques irréguliers, des vertiges légers ou un évanouissement.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température ambiante entre 68-77 degrés F (20-25 degrés °C) à l'abri de la lumière et de l'humidité. Ne le conservez pas dans la salle de bain. Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
