Endep (Amitriptyline)
Informations générales
Endep est dans un groupe de médicaments appelés antidépresseurs tricycliques. Amitriptyline affecte les produits chimiques du cerveau qui peuvent devenir déséquilibrés. Il est utilisé pour traiter les symptômes de la dépression.
Posologie
Utilisez ce médicament exactement comme il a été prescrit pour vous. Évitez de manger du pamplemousse ou de boire du jus de pamplemousse qui peut influencer le taux de cyclosporine dans le sang. Pour avoir les meilleurs résultats, continuez à prendre le médicament selon la prescription.
Précautions
N’utilisez pas ce médicament si vous êtes allergique à l'amitriptyline ou si vous avez eu récemment une crise cardiaque. Il est déconseillé de conduire un véhicule puisque le médicament peut vous rendre somnolent. Ce médicament peut avoir un effet nocif pour un bébé à naître. Avisez votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte ou prévoyez devenir enceinte pendant le traitement.
Contre-indications
Ne l'utilisez pas si vous avez une réaction allergique à Endep. Les personnes traitées par les inhibiteurs de la MAO ou ceux qui avaient un infarctus du myocardene ne peuvent pas prendre le médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez un de ces signes d'une allergie: des vertiges, une sècheresse buccale, une somnolence, une constipation ou des nausées.
Interaction des médicaments
Avant de l'utiliser, avertissez votre médecin si vous utilisez régulièrement d'autres médicaments. Le médicament peut interagir avec des inhibiteurs de la MAO, des anti-arythmiques, l’épinéphrine, des inhibiteurs sélectifs du recaptage de la sérotonine, les neuroleptiques et les antagonistes des récepteurs H2. Évitez de boire du jus de pamplemousse ou de manger du pamplemousse.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes du surdosage peuvent inclure un écoeurement, des douleurs thoraciques, une anomalie du rhytme cardiaque ou des vertiges.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température ambiante entre 68-77 F (20-25 C). Conservez-le à l'écart de l'humidité et de la lumière. Utilisez-le pendant 60 à 90 jours après l’ouverture du flacon. Gardez-le hors de portée des enfants et loin des animaux domestiques.
