Informations générales
Estrace est un médicament contenant de l'œstrogène utilisé pour soulager certaines conditions liées à la ménopause, telles que le traitement des bouffées de chaleur et d’une sécheresse vaginale et la prévention de l'ostéoporose chez les femmes post-ménopausées. Ce médicament sur ordonnance agit en remplaçant l'oestrogène que les ovaires ne produisent plus.
Posologie
Ne prenez le médicament que si votre médecin vous l’a prescrit avec la dose appropriée. La pilule est utilisée une fois par jour. Il faut que les femmes le prennent d’une manière cyclique 23 jours, suivis par 5 jours sans aucune prise du médicament. Puis ce cycle se répète. Le plâtre est collé à une partie du tronc sans poils. Remplacez l'application d’un plâtre chaque semaine.
Précautions
Informez votre médecin si vous avez des maladies du sang, des problèmes de circulation, un cancer lié aux hormones ou des saignements vaginaux. L’utilisation continue du médicament peut provoquer le cancer du sein ou la crise cardiaque. Ne l’utilisez pas si vous êtes enceinte.
Contre-indications
Une allergie, la grossesse, des néoplasmes malins dépendant des oestrogènes, des saignements, une thrombophlébite, une pancréatite, l’insuffisance hépatique, la porphyrie hépatique. Ne l'utilisez que pour le traitement du cancer et de la maladie thrombo-embolique.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez une des réactions allergiques telles que l’urticaire et l'enflure. Arrêtez d'utiliser Estrace et appelez votre médecin immédiatement si vous avez un des effets secondaires sérieux tels que: des saignements vaginaux inhabituels, une douleur de poitrine ou un sentiment de lourdeur, une douleur prenant le bras ou l'épaule, des nausées, des sueurs, une sensation de malaise général, une faiblesse, des maux de tête, un trouble, des problèmes de vision, de la toux soudaine, une respiration sifflante, des douleurs dans une ou deux jambes, des vomissements, une perte d'appétit, une soif accrue, une faiblesse musculaire et la jaunisse.
Interactions des médicaments
Le médicament empêche le métabolisme de la cyclosporine entraînant une augmentation de ses concentrations dans le sang. Il peut augmenter le risque de la maladie du foie. Soyez prudent avec le diluant du sang comme la warfarine (Coumadin), la carbamazépine (Carbatrol, Tegretol), phénytoïne (Dilantin).
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez la dose oubliée s'il est presque temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas des doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Une surdose peut provoquer des nausées, des vomissements ou des saignements vaginaux.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température ambiante entre 15-30 C (59-86 F). Conservez-le à l'écart de l'humidité et la lumière. Gardez-le hors de portée des enfants et loin des animaux domestiques.
